Echo Team: Spearhead

Beschreibung

Echo Team: Spearhead is a tactical wargame where battles take place in and around urban terrain. Players take command of a special operations unit that is carrying out assignments in locations all over the world. One player controls the eponymous Echo Team and the other player an opponent that varies with each mission. Opponents include Somali warlords, members of a Mexican cartel or units of ISIS.

Mechanics

Echo Team: Spearhead is a card-driven board game. The two players face each other in various missions/scenario: hostage rescue, direct action, military escort or personnel extraction as examples. They spend command points to activate their units on the game board and provide military support like air strikes, shadow snipers or drones. They can also and play one or more command cards from their hand to enable extra actions or to trigger events. Victory conditions depend on the mission played.

Turn cards trigger external events like sudden change of weather conditions or reinforcements. They add a little uncertainty to each player's perfect plan.

Language

The main language of the game will be English. Other language versions of the rulebook (Italian, French, Spanish and German) will be made available for download.
